Gender/Age of new clients to Saoirse
Of the 29 clients that presented in the month to Saoirse through the screening process – 19 were male and 10 were female. 6 of the 29 new clients that presented were between 18 and 25 years of age, 7 between 26 and 35 years of age, 12 between 36 and 50 years of age and 4 between and 51 and 80.
Drug of Choice
In the month, the clients presenting were predominately Alcohol dependant. Of the drugs of choice 12 with Cocaine, 7 presented with alcohol, 2 each with Benzodiazepine and Prescription Medication and 1 with Cannabis. Of those that presented new to Saoirse 16 of them used other substances, the most common being Alcohol (7).
